Surf Life Saving New Zealand’s 2025/26 results show the scale of the work carried out by lifeguards and volunteers, and the importance of the information gathered through the SurfCom Management System.

Surf Life Saving New Zealand’s 2026 Annual Report records a busy season across 93 patrol locations and 74 clubs:

  • 🛟 757 rescues, up from 624 the previous season
  • ⚠️ 47,779 preventative actions
  • 🤝 946 assists to safety
  • ⚕️ 243 major first aids

Behind those numbers are people giving their time, skills and care to help others get home safely.

At Calo, we developed the SurfCom Management System for Surf Life Saving New Zealand. The system has been critical in gathering the information presented in this report, helping SLSNZ record and understand the work carried out throughout the season.

We’re proud to support Surf Life Saving New Zealand with a system that helps make this work visible. Thank you to the lifeguards, volunteers and staff who keep surf lifesaving running.
